Once you get in the portal you can navigate the realm and get to a demon that will give you a quest. But yes, early game is clarified a lot in later builds (patch coming very soon too)
Items cant be lost, but you can misplace them and they unequip. It's quite easy in the current public build. They can be found in your bed drawer in your bedroom. The location of the savefile is written on the itch page :)

It's right between the book and your bed on the bed table. Then it appears on your right sidebar to toggle male/female. It glows a bit once every 5 sec like all other interactables.
There are indeed no more stat progression like there was in the first game. Most items are unavailable right now, and these will definitively help with progression. Nonetheless, we'll be adding another, less linear progression system to help too :)
Hello. After playing in the Atlantis dungeon several times, I went back to the Slime Lair and Cait repeated her message that she gave when giving me the spell to go to Atlantis. But when I got back to the Portal Room, I had gotten a new spell called "Graveyard". When I inputted the correct arrow combo, a new colored portal appeared as I expected, but it wouldn't work when I clicked on it. I tried the other portals and they worked fine. Closing and reopening the game before trying again didn't work. Prior to receiving the Graveyard spell, I was being told by Cait to "get lost" every time I revisited the Slime Lair in between getting the Atlantis and Graveyard spells. Is this a bug, or is the content just unfinished like the dev note said?
First of all, thanks for the precise report! Depending on the version, it can be a bug. There's a version out there (I don't remember which one tbh) where the graveyard is "accessible" but is not actually in game. It's in game now with monsters and all that, but there's a bugged version indeed.
After you talk to Ayla and Vera in the library, you get your grimoire (this section is clearer in later versions). Open it (click on the grimoire or press tab) and see arrow patterns. Replicate arrow patterns in the portal room. The portal will open. Click on the portal to enter it.
Open grimoire (tab key, or book icon in the top right, just below the map): see codes (represented with arrows). Replicate code. Portal will open. Click portal.
Well... I have finished the game, dont remember version, and I have a question. There is a bug girl who will appear after defeating a strong boss in the jungle. And a Moth appears on the left in the menu, and there are 8 squares under it. So, I seem to have missed something, and I don’t know how to fill them out. I have completed 3 out of 8
You can still absolutely play right now with only your mouse. And the combats can also be played with either just a mouse or QE-WASD. Still this is early access, it's not perfect, and will be refined for the full release. But for all the interesting parts, you can play with one hand or the other.
yes but having to switch between the two is very annoying for both right handed and left handed people(not to mention what the dominant hand is doing), that and having to move my mouse to click the environmental triggers when it could be done with just wasd, so switching over would be quite irritating because it disrupts the experience, if you get what I mean, but otherwise I'm really glad that you didn't impose the mana system over the stamina combat system , I really hope to see an upgrades page for both you and fae like in the original

from what I can see from the review it is similar yes. Notable difference includes that there is o ly 1 playable character. It's more akin to old final fantasy games but with a gris. Our first game Magical Waifus Academy is more turn by turn. But you can try it out, the early access here is free :)
Ok so I just rechecked everything. 0.3 brings a lot of new stuff, including the start of the main quest. Not resetting your quest flags might screw things up (see the patch note for details) That explains the grimoire, as it is given in the first parts of the first quest (aka as part of the tutorial). Thx for the heads up, but we absolutely don't base ourselves off them. We are 100% OC. I guess there may be monsters that look alike a bit if you squint? There's only so many variations of a typical monstergirl you can make. But them suing us would be like a hentai suing another hentai bc they also have a brown haired main girl.

Our Hellhound is not an OC of their Hellhounds, it's a completely different thing, but with the same name, just as our witches are named witches but are different from every other witches there is.

I had a problem with the old game: Some of the dialogs were too long to read fast enough and had to choose the same one many times to read it fully. I see this game also has the same problem. Is there any chance to add a way to scroll up and down text so we could read everything at our own pace?

Depends on what version. Right now on the free version (v2) the story ends here. On the latest build, there is a lot more to do after! You can generally check if there is more to do in game by checking the gallery in your bedroom.
v6 has some pretty good quest indicators, especially for the beginning. The "exploration" part of the game is... very present in the earlier versions. What did you do? Did you talk to Cait in her classroom, and they to Ayla in the library?

Items cant be lost, but you can misplace them and they unequip. It's quite easy in the current public build. They can be found in your bed drawer in your bedroom. The location of the savefile is written on the itch page :)

you have to input the correct arrows first (the codes are in your grimoire, left sidebar). Once it's open you can click on it

There's a bug in the old versions where that monster never showed up despite being in game, and no one told me for like 3 months XD
You can edit your save to see her animation though :)

If you click on it and it shows a dialogue it's because it's in that update. If it's not, then it's in a later update. It's always on

Yoy can see your save file location at the bottom of the itch page. V6 has a built in option to delete your save automatically.
